We all have passions that drive us. We also have internal struggles that crush us. If we are lucky, our passions will overcome the struggles. Sometimes, family, and/or our friends help us to focus on our passions and give us the strength to deal with the struggles. HERstory is the story of an ordinary woman called HER, who struggles with her internal challenges. It takes her immediate and extended family, her dance mates and friends, to rekindle her passion for dance and reignite her life. The take-away message for the audience will be the fact that depression is real and it does not discriminate between class, creed, race, religion or community. It can affect anyone cross-culturally without regard to gender. Depression need not be a stigma any longer, especially in minority communities, as help is available.
